Period-over-period (N / N-1)

Definition

A period-over-period comparison puts a current-period figure (N) next to the same figure over the immediately preceding period of equal length (N-1). A number alone says nothing; the gap is what reads.

How it is computed, where to read it

$4,200 of revenue on a flow, good or bad? No idea until you know the month before was $9,000. Direction matters more than level.

Every KlaviBoard metric is loaded twice, current period and previous period of the same length, to show the percentage gap on every card and every row.

Flow alerts (entries, revenue, engagement) rest on this comparison, with volume floors to avoid false signals on small flows.

These metrics, read continuously across all your accounts

KlaviBoard brings 3 to 20 Klaviyo accounts into one dashboard, compares every figure with the previous period and warns you when a threshold is crossed. The Free plan connects 3 accounts, no credit card.
