Reach rate by inbox provider

Definition

Reach rate is the share of an inbox provider's unique recipients (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo…) who opened at least one message: unique opens divided by unique recipients, for that provider. It is used to spot a deliverability drop at a single provider.

How it is computed, where to read it

The overall open rate drowns that signal: an account can show a decent average while Gmail sends its messages to spam.

Numerator and denominator are both unique: mixing deduplicated opens with non-deduplicated sends means nothing.

KlaviBoard computes this rate per provider from the Inbox Provider properties on Klaviyo events and alerts when it drops more than 5 points versus the previous period, with at least 500 recipients in each period.

The threshold

A drop of more than 5 percentage points at one provider, on at least 500 unique recipients: KlaviBoard alert rule (Studio plans and above).

These metrics, read continuously across all your accounts

KlaviBoard brings 3 to 20 Klaviyo accounts into one dashboard, compares every figure with the previous period and warns you when a threshold is crossed. The Free plan connects 3 accounts, no credit card.
